“Lanes” Closing during the morning on 1/17 for remainder of winter.
In an effort to better serve our students and parents, the lanes will be closing in the morning only in order to:
- Give our students a safer, shorter path into school.
- Give our custodial staff a smaller area to clear before school ensuring they can clear the majority of the lot by afternoon pick-up.
- Focus our teachers into a better supervision situation.
Information you need to know:
- “The Horn” will be opening at approximately 7:35 AM to accommodate parents coming from the lanes, so continue on around the building to “the Horn.”
- The lanes will remain open for afternoon pickup like normal. ONLY THE MORNING IS CHANGING.

2011/12 FTMS West Traffic Flow Information – UPDATED INFORMATION
The following link has important information regarding the traffic flow processes that will begin for FTMS West on August 10th. Please be familiar with these processes to ensure student safety and efficiency in getting as many students in and out of school.

TRAFFIC FLOW UPDATE: The WEST exit has been re-striped so that the LEFT lane is for left turns or going straight across Edgewood. While this is not the desired flow for drivers to take for safety and flow reasons, the continued choice by drivers has influenced our process to re-stripe the WEST exit in this manner. The RIGHT lane is now for RIGHT TURN ONLY.
Therefore, any vehicle that comes from “The Horn” or the “The Lanes” W1-W4 lanes and is in the RIGHT exit lane should turn RIGHT (i.e., head West) vs. heading straight across Edgewood. On 9/1 we will no longer have cones at this exit.
