This award will honor her memory as it recognizes students who have demonstrated similar characteristics.  Please click here for more information regarding nominating a student for this prestigious award.

ATTENTION PARENTS!!! We were recently informed that a magnet was stolen off a daycare vehicle that is used to pick up children from three of our schools. The daycare owner quickly informed law enforcement and contacted the school district. We have alerted all of our schools to ensure the safety of our students additionally our police will be taking extra safety precautions. We alert you to take the same precautions and talk to your children about keeping themselves safe. Below is a photo of the magnet.

Good afternoon! The Foundation will once again be hosting the Annual Alumni Dinner on Friday, September 19th. This is in conjunction with the Homecoming week festivities. The Foundation is trying to make a strong push to get our Alumni to support their Alma Mater! I know that there are many families that have stayed in the Township, and have children in our schools. Could you please add the Alumni Dinner Flyer to any newsletter you send out ( via email or hard copy) ? Thank you very much for helping to spread the word for us!! Thank you for all you do and for your continued support of the Foundation!

With school getting back in session, it’s time to remind you that we have an active Box Tops for Education program at FTMS West. Box Tops are found on many different cans and boxes, such as Betty Crocker items, Ziplock, Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Scott, Nature Valley, Jolly Green Giant, Land O’ Lakes butter, GoGurt, and many, many more. Every Box Top that you clip off and send to school with your student is worth 10 cents for the school. It will also earn your student a reward EACH time he or she brings in ANY number of Box Tops. Box Tops must be current. Be sure to check for the expiration date! They can be taped to a Box Top paper or a blank paper, preferably in numbers divisible by 5s. NO STAPLES, PLEASE! They can also be sent inside a sandwich-size or snack-size plastic bag in a group of 50. Send them in to school inside a box, sack, or plastic bag with your student’s name and Pride Teacher’s name in it so your student can get credit for them. On the last Friday of each month, any student bringing in 10 Box Tops for the month, will be allowed to bring an electronic item to play with during lunch that Friday. Please call me with questions: Ann Cushing--Box Top Coordinator, (332-6726.)

Our homecoming float construction is going to begin next week! West has big plans, so big we may need another trailer for our band. If anyone is aware of an extra trailer that can be used for our band we would really appreciate the help! Also, we are looking for a good location to work on our float. If anyone has an XL garage or a barn that we could use for command central please let us know. Please send us a message! Thanks for your support!

The West family had an outstanding evening last night during our Back to School Night. We had a great turnout by our parents. Special thanks to our PTO group for providing a tasty ice cream treat before the big event. Also, special thanks to our teachers for doing such a great job talking about the awesome things going on at FTMSW!
