It is hard to believe that we have almost reached the end of the 2015 - 2016 school year.  We are now planning for the next school year.  We know that there are going to be a great number of changes this summer before we start back to school on July 27.  If you know that you are going to have a change of address, phone number, or need to modify the information that you have on file, you can now do it online through Infinite Campus.  In order to access this feature you MUST have signed up for access to the parent portal.  If you follow this link:  http://www.ftcsc.k12.in.us/it/32 you will be directed to the IC page.  Once you have access to the portal, please make sure you read the District Announcement Section.

ATTENDANCE LINE:             803-8290

Attendance Policy

When a student is going to be absent from school for any reason, the parent must call the attendance line (803-8290) and report it by 9:00 a.m. Upon returning to school following an absence or absences, the student shall bring a written statement.  The note must contain dates of absences and reason as well as parent/guardian signature.  These statements determine if the absence is excusable.  Failure to report (verbal or written) a student absent within 24 hours will result in the absence being unexcused.  Students will be considered unexcused for all absences other than those stipulated by administrative guidelines, state, or federal statutes.

Parents of current 5th grade students:

Immunizations of meningitis and Tdap are needed for the start of 6th grade.  Please call the doctor now to schedule an appointment prior to the start of school so that your student will have the shots that Indiana requires for middle school.  When you have an appointment date and time, please let the elementary school nurse know so that it can be recorded. Requirements are grade level-based, and not dependent on age of students entering 6th grade.  Call now for the best availability of appointments.

Parents of current high school juniors:

Two doses of meningitis are needed for the start of 12th grade.  Please call your student’s doctor now to schedule an appointment prior to the start of school so that your student will have complete shots as designated by the state of Indiana.  Please call the nurse at 803-8304 to advise her about the date and time of appointment.  Students are expected to have the shots at the beginning of the school year.  Call now for best availability of appointments.

Please follow the links to the immunization charts:

The FCHS Student Council awarded Superintendent Dr. Reichanadter the "Administrator of the Year Award" today at the end of year breakfast and Senior Awards. Junior MC's Alexa Carr & Hannah Cougill awarded our superintendent a captain's hat with the graduation theme of "Set Sail to Great Adventures!" Dr. & Mrs. Don King were also honored as "Parent Supporters of the Year" for their continued gifts of time, talent, and treasure towards leadership campaigns that foster our young representatives. They were presented with "Harvard Dad & Mom" sweatshirts to wear as their youngest son, Student Council Vice President Jeb, enters Harvard in the fall. Thank you to Dr. Reichanadter & Dr. & Mrs. King for supporting the Student Council!
