Parents of current 5th grade students:
Immunizations of meningitis and Tdap are needed for the start of 6th grade. Please call the doctor now to schedule an appointment prior to the start of school so that your student will have the shots that Indiana requires for middle school. When you have an appointment date and time, please let the elementary school nurse know so that it can be recorded. Requirements are grade level-based, and not dependent on age of students entering 6th grade. Call now for the best availability of appointments.
Parents of current high school juniors:
Two doses of meningitis are needed for the start of 12th grade. Please call your student’s doctor now to schedule an appointment prior to the start of school so that your student will have complete shots as designated by the state of Indiana. Please call the nurse at 803-8304 to advise her about the date and time of appointment. Students are expected to have the shots at the beginning of the school year. Call now for best availability of appointments.

It is amazing what can be found when spending some time on Google. Most recently we discovered that the official holiday for New Year’s Day in 2017 will be on January 2! The approved calendar for the 16-17 school year indicated that students in Franklin Township would be returning to school on that day after the winter break. This new information has caused a shift of days in the calendar.
The link to the calendar shown below will take you to the new version of the calendar with the corrections. The modification is that students WILL attend school on Friday, December 16. The teacher work day has been moved to Monday, December 19, 2016. With this change, students and staff will return to school on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
