~~To FTCSC Parents and Community Members:

Due to failing equipment, the Franklin Township voicemail system has become unreliable.  We are taking corrective action to replace the equipment; however, this will take several months to coordinate and complete.

If you attempt to leave a message for any teacher or other staff member and you do not get a response, please email that person with your concern.

Your communication is very valuable to us.  If you do not receive a timely response, please contact your school’s office.

Civil War Night of Remembrance . The Social Studies department at FTMS-EAST is proud to announce our second annual Night of Remembrance, commemorating The American Civil War. The American Civil War could be considered the most tragic episode of our history. A bitter war, fought on our soil, among our own people, it was literally a brother versus brother war. At its conclusion, an estimated 620,000 Americans had lost their lives. Please join us on 4-27-14 in the cafeteria at EAST for this very special evening. The finest projects created by EAST 8th grade students will be on display for parents, students, staff, and the community. The doors will open at 6:00 for the viewing of the student work. Also that evening, guest speaker private Sam Watkins, Company H, 1st Tennessee Volunteer Regiment will join us to share his story of his life in The Army of Tennessee. The presentation by Mr. Watkins will begin at 6:30, followed by a question and answer session with this veteran who participated in every major battle in the Western theatre of the war. The Social Studies department hopes that you make plans to attend this unique and special event for our 8th graders and their families. It will be a remarkable chance to share the efforts of our students and remember the men and women who helped make our nation what it is today.
