Tutoring and Homework Hotline


FREE tutoring service for math and science available from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology!  Tutors answer calls between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, from September through May.  Before calling the Homework Hotline, students should have the following items on hand:

  • Homework assignment
  • Textbook (if available)
  • Paper
  • Pencil or pen
  • Calculator if needed.

Students will be asked to provide their first name and the name of their school when they call.


Peer Tutoring in the Learning Center

Students who have a study hall in their schedule can get a pass from their study hall teacher or a classroom teacher to go to the Learning Center during their study hall to get help in different subjects from our Peer Tutors.  Peer Tutors are junior and senior honors level students who do individual tutoring with students in academic subjects, with an emphasis on math.


Khan Academy

Free instructional videos and practice exercises for students in many different subjects including Math, Science, History, Economics, and many other areas.  http://www.khanacademy.org


Free Tutoring Through the Indianapolis Public Library

Students can get an online tutor 3pm – 11pm weekdays and  9am – 7pm Sat. & Sun.  The Indianapolis Public Library offers free online academic and career resources and tutoring from Tutor.com for all students.  All your students need is an Indianapolis public library card. Get a Library Card
