TRANSPORTATION SERVICESFOR FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP PARENTS
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 11, 2011) – Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC), a not-for-profit educational agency, is offering transportation services for Franklin Township parents for the 2011-2012 school year. The services will be provided in accordance with a state statute that has been law since 1970. Indiana Code 20-27-6-1 allows the utilization of the Parents Supplementation Transportation Contracts Act, so that third party transportation may contract with parents to provide bus service in an organized fashion.
CIESC will hold optional informational meetings on July 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Kitley Elementary School (formerly Kitley ntermediate School), located at 8735 Indian Creek Road, Indianapolis, IN 46259 and at 6:00 pm at Middle School West (formerly Edgewood Intermediate), located at 7620 Edgewood Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239. The meetings are being offered to provide a general overview of the transportation services that will be available and to answer questions that parents may have about the transportation program offered by CIESC. Attendance at an informational meeting is not required.
All of the information parents need will be available on the CIESC website beginning July 15, 2011. The website address is http://www.ciesc.k12.in.us/. Registration will begin on July 15. Registration forms and parent handbooks will also be available in person at the CIESC transportation center located at 8730 Indian Creek Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46259. Registration in person is available between the hours of 12:00 and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday beginning on July 15, 2011.
A non-refundable registration fee of $20.00 per student is required with each student application. The annual transportation fee for one student in a family is $475.00. The fee for each student in the family thereafter is $405.00 annually. A monthly payment option is available.
For transportation services to begin on the first day of school, registration and payment must occur by August 2, 2011.
