New Student Registration Information

Franklin Township Community Schools will register new students for all schools grades K – 12 beginning July 6 at the central office building  (CTEC).  The CTEC building is located at 6141 S. Franklin Road.  Forms for the registration process are listed below or may be picked up at the central office.  This process for new students will continue even after the schools have reopened after the summer break.

To begin the registration process, parents must have the registration forms completed and bring the three required documents:

  1. BIRTH CERTIFICATE
  2. IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
  3. PROOF OF RESIDENCY which can include: current utility bill, lease/rental agreement, or property tax statement

Additionally, if there are legal documents regarding custody or restraining orders those should be brought to registration as well.

If registering a high school student, several additional documents are required:

  • a copy of the withdrawal from the previous school
  • a transcript Incoming freshmen who are new to the township and who do not have a transcript will need to show proof of completion of the 8th grade. A final semester report card showing promotion is acceptable.

Any information regarding special needs for a student should also be brought to registration.  This could be special education documents, health documents, or other services being provided to the student.

All fees (textbook, transportation, etc.) will paid at the school and not collected during the registration process.  All teacher and course assignments will be made at the school.  During the registration process, parents will be given available times that they can visit the school.
