Dear Elementary Parents—The IN State Dept. of Health has released the new immunization requirements for school in a 2 year plan to help you plan of what for what is needed for school.

What this means for students:

Current 5th grade students still need to obtain shots for middle school. Tdap and MCV4 are the required shots, and Hepatitis A should be started, if not already complete, in preparation for the following year.

This list of updates means that it is imperative to call your student’s doctor today to schedule an appointment before school starts the end of July.  Please do not delay—appointments for well child visits will be necessary and many children in Indianapolis need to have shots.  Students are expected to have the necessary shots when school begins.

This year's school supply lists are available on line and you have the opportunity to do one stop shopping by purchasing a classpack online.  Your child would have their items ready to go the first day of school!  Hurry!  The last day to order online is June 29th! It is hard to believe that we have almost reached the end of the 2015 - 2016 school year.  We are now planning for the next school year.  We know that there are going to be a great number of changes this summer before we start back to school on July 27.  If you know that you are going to have a change of address, phone number, or need to modify the information that you have on file, you can now do it online through Infinite Campus.  In order to access this feature you MUST have signed up for access to the parent portal.  If you follow this link:  http://www.ftcsc.k12.in.us/it/32 you will be directed to the IC page.  Once you have access to the portal, please make sure you read the District Announcement Section.

A Connect Ed call will be going out today. As promised, below is the more specific information about going paperless and student information: Updating Required Student Information It is important that we have updated information on your returning FTCSC student, including health information, consent to treat if ill, emergency contact information, etc. Information may now be updated at home using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. We will no longer be sending paper packets for you to complete. Please log onto your Infinite Campus Parent Portal and follow the steps attached below: If you have an address change, you can enter your new address in the online application, you will need to provide new proof of residency at the Central Office Building (6141 South Franklin Road). Acceptable proof of residency documents are a current utility bill AND a current lease or mortgage. If you do not have your Infinite Campus PARENT portal log on information, please e-mail ichelp@ftcsc.k12.in.us from an e-mail account registered with the school. ISTEP RESULTS ARE IN! Last Year's 3rd, 4th, and 5th Parents/Guardians Spring 2017 ISTEP+ results are now available by accessing the ISTEP+ Parent Portal below. The parent portal claim code, which is provided through Infinite Campus, will be needed to access scores. Parents may request a rescore on written responses to Part 1 questions. Rescore requests will be accepted from Monday, June 19 through Friday, July 7. If you need assistance retrieving your parent portal claim code or have questions, please contact the Administration Building at (317) 862-2411.
