It is amazing what can be found when spending some time on Google.  Most recently we discovered that the official holiday for New Year’s Day in 2017 will be on January 2!  The approved calendar for the 16-17 school year indicated that students in Franklin Township would be returning to school on that day after the winter break.  This new information has caused a shift of days in the calendar.

The link to the calendar shown below will take you to the new version of the calendar with the corrections.  The modification is that students WILL attend school on Friday, December 16.  The teacher work day has been moved to Monday, December 19, 2016.  With this change, students and staff will return to school on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

As part of that preparation we have created an opportunity for you to learn about our organization and the curriculum your children will be learning in CPR. Franklin Central High School Student Council members were excited to collaborate with the councils from Franklin Township Middle School West and Franklin Township Middle School East during last week's annual Rally for Riley! This event, which focuses on building teamwork and enhancing leadership skills in both middle and high school students, benefits Riley Hospital for Children. This year, students attending the Rally were able to raise over $485, all of which will be donated to the Franklin Central High School Dance Marathon to benefit Riley Hospital patients. The Franklin Township Student Councils would like to thank local business owner Mr. Tim Amick, of the Southport Rally's, for sponsoring this event.
