It is hard to believe that we have almost reached the end of the 2015 - 2016 school year.  We are now planning for the next school year.  We know that there are going to be a great number of changes this summer before we start back to school on July 27.  If you know that you are going to have a change of address, phone number, or need to modify the information that you have on file, you can now do it online through Infinite Campus.  In order to access this feature you MUST have signed up for access to the parent portal.  If you follow this link:  http://www.ftcsc.k12.in.us/it/32 you will be directed to the IC page.  Once you have access to the portal, please make sure you read the District Announcement Section.

ATTENDANCE LINE:             803-8290

Attendance Policy

When a student is going to be absent from school for any reason, the parent must call the attendance line (803-8290) and report it by 9:00 a.m. Upon returning to school following an absence or absences, the student shall bring a written statement.  The note must contain dates of absences and reason as well as parent/guardian signature.  These statements determine if the absence is excusable.  Failure to report (verbal or written) a student absent within 24 hours will result in the absence being unexcused.  Students will be considered unexcused for all absences other than those stipulated by administrative guidelines, state, or federal statutes.

The Parent Community Outreach Committee at FTMS West is looking for parents and community members to participate in a "job fair" that will potentially be launched during one of our quarterly celebrations this Spring (2018). We're looking for volunteers to present a FUN, HANDS-ON activity that allow our middle school students to gain insight on what it's like in "a day in the life" of your career. More details will come later - this is specifically to see if we have enough interest for volunteers! :-) (For any questions, please contact Anna Sutter at anna.sutter@ftcsc.k12.in.us or 317-803-8253) If you're interested, please click on the link below and fill out the form. https://goo.gl/forms/5EFNVcKQXDYLgWWY2

Last Thursday, November 9th, Franklin Central's We the People class competed in the Central Regional Competition. These 32 seniors were able to show off their vast knowledge of relevant constitutional issues by competing in six separate mock congressional hearings. Franklin Central earned a high enough score to place fifth in the region, with Unit 2 and Unit 3 bringing home individual unit awards! Congratulations Flashes!
